Video: Pumpkin's Pajamas (A conversation w/ Sophie Lu)

Well, it looks like Pumpkin is officially part of our family. Our housekeeper stayed here and looked after the cats while we were in Guatemala, but since Pumpkin was an outside cat (and not our cat), we weren't sure if he would still be around when we returned. Well, he waited for us- and it became very clear that our mean neighbor had abandoned him, so I decided to take him to the vet to get fixed, have his shots, and see about his mangy skin condition. When I went to pick him up, the girls at the vet were laughing at me... "It's not every day someone brings in a neutered cat to get fixed!" Okay- I felt really dumb, but believe me when I tell you- he doesn't look fixed! :) Anyway, Sophie Lu and Pumpkin are the CUTEST together. He follows her every where, and she is so gentle and loving with him- it would just melt your heart. The vet said he is about 3 years old and healthy other than his skin problem (which has his fur falling out). He was given a shot and put on some Revolution flea medicine; so hopefully that will clear up his skin. But since he still constantly licks his skin/fur, I came up with the idea of putting some of Sophie's old pajamas on him to prevent him from further irritating his skin.

Below is the conversation I had with Sophie and Pumpkin this morning. She really cracks me up- watch how the conversation topics change from Pumpkin's pajamas to his boo boos- to Dr. Juarez ("Dr. Wowez",her Dr. in Guatemala)- to how to lick a lollipop- to the color of a blueberry- to practicing her spanish vocabulary...

Btw, even though Pumpkin didn't seem to mind wearing PJ's, I took them off of him right after this. :)

Wow Wow Wubbzy, anyone?

Am I the only one who has a child obsessed with Wow Wow Wubbzy? Sophie won't stop talking about Wubbzy, Widget, and Walden- she just loves them! At first I thought it was silly, but after sitting down and actually watching an episode, I've determined that it is a very sweet show with a good message. Unfortunately, though, I can NOT get the song out of my head.... Wow Wow Wubbzy... Wubbzy, Wubbzy, WOW WOW!!!
