Introducing Sophie Lu!!!!
Seeing my baby's precious face for the first time was the most amazing moment in my life!!! I am IN LOVE!!!!!!!!
I laughed and cried at the same time when they handed me her picture! She is so sweet and funny! She is waiting in the Sichuan Province. Her birthday is May 27th, 2004! Both mommy and daughter were born in the year of the Monkey!!!
She was found on May 28th (just 1 day old) with a note from her birth mother (to whom I am eternally grateful). She is healthy and is being cared for at a Social Welfare Institute (orphanage). She most likely stays at the orphanage all day, and then goes home at night with one of the nannies. She has beautiful fair skin, sparkling eyes, chubby cheeks, and the most kissable lips in the world!!! She is described as quiet, a deep sleeper, enjoys music and being outside! She has a ready smile, laughs out loud, and likes to eat soft cakes!
This photo was taken on December 25th (Christmas!). She is wearing the cutest goldfish slippers and many layers of oversized boys' clothing. She looks like she is upset about her outfit- I just can't wait to get her in a dress!
I can't stop looking at her picture- and I can't stop smiling!!!
Michael already ADORES her and keeps telling me how cute she is and how happy we will be when we are finally united!
We will travel to China in mid-June to get her. I just wish I could fall asleep until the moment they place her in my arms!!!
